Another month, another set of official BVI holidays that I've never celebrated before. We got a bit of a two-fer this weekend, since it was the Queen's Birthday on Saturday, complete with parade, and today is Whit Monday, the official start to summer, a British equivalent to Memorial Day.
In a bizarre fluke of scheduling I am actually off today, Whit Monday, and since HB has all official holidays off, he is off with me. We are taking advantage of this rare extra day off together to explore Tortola a bit more, and get some pictures and exciting information for this blog. This task is made even more exciting by the fact that, for the first time in about six weeks, it has been sunny all weekend long.
So HB and I are going to head out and enjoy the sunshine some more on this lovely Whit Monday. Hope you all are having a great start to your summer.
